     As an educational institution OAK Horizons, Inc. was originally founded in 1994 under the name of Health Information Career Development Institute, a NYS licensed proprietary school.  All graduates from HICDI were successful in finding jobs as medical transcriptionists or in starting their own thriving medical transcription businesses. In July 2002 a decision was made to prepare the curriculum for delivery on the Internet.  In this way OAK Horizons, Inc. addresses the growing need in the healthcare and medical transcription industries for qualified, productive, versatile medical transcriptionists.  Our primary goals are to increase knowledge, efficiency, and versatility thus improving productivity and quality.
